I found this article that gives students opinions of varying professional behaviors and the effectiveness of those behaviors. I feel as though I can really relate to the articles that feature students in them.

The link I posted above was very relatable for me! It was a pilot study done that looked at how first year and second year OT students viewed professionalism. Different categories emerged for the two different groups and I feel as though I fit it now better with the second year students in the study.

I found the study that I posted above very interesting, because it broke down professionalism into many varying categories (i.e. gift giving, uniform, written communication, etc.) and it carried all of these across the entire healthcare system.

A lot of our professors have told us that as our career unfolds clinical reasoning will begin to develop alongside of our career. Sometimes I feel confident about clinical reasoning and other times I really struggle; so, I found the article I posted above to be super helpful and somewhat reassure me that I do know more about clinical reasoning than I think I do.

Article: Neistadt, M. E., Wight, J., & Mulligan, S. E. (1998). Clinical reasoning case studies as teaching tools. American Journal of Occupational Therapy, 52(2), 125-132.
I found this scholarly peer reviewed journal that gives the following types of case studies to help us practice our clinical reasoning skills: paper cases, videotape cases, simulated client cases, and real client cases. Within this study, undergraduate students majoring in OT were the ones getting to practice their skills, but I found this very applicable to us as well as MOT students.
