"In the Australian Curriculum, students develop ICT capability as they learn to use ICT effectively and appropriately to access, create and communicate information and ideas, solve problems and work collaboratively in all learning areas at school, and in their lives beyond school. The capability involves students in learning to make the most of the technologies available to them, adapting to new ways of doing things as technologies evolve and limiting the risks to themselves and others in a digital environment."

Rohan's guide to differentiation - 0 views

"I have compiled here a list of digital tools and pedagogies that align with guiding questions in each area of CONTENT, PROCESS, PRODUCT and ENVIRONMENT. At the end of the guide I have created a brief "recipe". If you want to take your pedagogy to the next level, I highly recommend using the SAMR model and 21st century learning design (links above)."

"Key Takeaways The Visitors and Residents project seeks to identify and recommend strategies that IT staff and library professionals can adopt to help students and faculty members better discover, access, and evaluate digital information. The project team interviewed participants from four educational stages - from emerging (high school/secondary school seniors and first-year college students) through experiencing (faculty members) - that focus on context and motive rather than age as a determining factor in information-seeking behaviors. In addition to identifying how and why individuals engage with technology to acquire the information, the project offers recommendations on how to build relationships with community members and how to study user behavior to better test and develop library systems."

LiveBinders - the Knowledge Sharing Place - 0 views

  •
Online Binders for Everyone LiveBinders is dedicated to helping you empower others with the information you work hard to collect. If you're like us, you've used 'creative' tactics to keep track of all your links either through email, word documents or endless lists in your browser bookmarks folder. It's hard to put a group of links together in any meaningful format. And sharing a group of URLs is cumbersome for everyone - the sender and the receiver. Have you ever looked through your bookmarks list and forgotten what they are all for? We created LiveBinders so that you could do with digital information what you do with the papers on your desk - organize them into nice containers - like 3-ring binders on your shelf. With our online-binders you can also upload your documents and easily combine them with your links in a neat and organized way. We welcome you to create as many LiveBinders as you need to help organize the stuff you collect and share on the Web

What's the difference between PBL and Design Thinking? - Ewan McIntosh | Digital Media ... - 0 views

"Bianca Hewes and some others were last night asking some good questions to seek out the difference between design thinking and project-based learning (PBL) as techniques for use in the classroom. These kinds of questions we explore through out workshops with educators around the world, and there's an explanation developing in a book I hope to release soon. In the meantime, here's a quick and dirty take on the question from me"
