Every young girl dreams of having either the mansion on the hill or the little house with the white picket fence. And all little girl's ask Santa for a doll house at every Christmas and some times that urge doesn't go away with age either. Ever dream of owning Twin Oakes or The Ponderosa or the house that housed the famous Waltons?

The Crazy Cat Lady is an icon in America. Is she an heiress who lost her fortune and has no job skills? A divorcee who didn't have a good lawyer? Or an angel sent by St. Francis to care for the animals? She wanders around oblivious to her own needs and, like a cattle rustler, has corralled a herd of critters in her house, her yard, her baby buggy. Everyone knows a Crazy Cat Lady or someone that's well on her way to being one. You know her, the one who would rather hang with her cats than date. It all starts with one cat...then 2-3-4 before you know it she sporting an "I love my cats" T-shirt, cat key chains, bumper stickers...and then little kitty statues & figurines all over her house. But the question remains...What do you buy someone who collects living things? Surely not another cat, but some tacky cat related gifts would be perfect!.

Halloween is the one night of the year when you get to dress up and be someone else. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love to see the kids coming to the door in their cute little costumes. I love to see all the houses decorated up with the ghost, goblins and witches.I was always torn between wanting to stay at home and see all the kids come to the door and taking my kids out myself and watching them have a blast. So my sister and I took turns at it, one year I stayed home and she took the out, the next year we switched!

Give proof to the kids that Santa Claus came to your house!!! Or the Easter Bunny or The Tooth Fairy or even Cupid for Valentine's Day, Anniversary or those Birthday gifts that are hard to buy.

All kids inflatable toys & the bigger the better. Skip the overcrowded water park, these funky toys will get out of the house & off the video games ( at least for a while).

To kids, few things are as captivating as an honest-to-goodness fort. They might call it the clubhouse, the hideaway or just a play house. A fort that kids make by hand with stuff they find lying around is just as good as a swanky fort delivered by two men in a big truck. My personal building material of choice was the couch cushions & a couple strategically placed comforters. Luckily now they make inexpensive portable pop up versions...so the cushions can stay on the couch!

Since time immemorial kids have been playing with dolls made of varied materials and shapes and sizes but the essence is every child at one point in time will ask for a doll. Parents usually think that the doll is just a play thing for fun, but, that may not be entirely true as dolls teach kids a lot in a simple yet profound manner.
