    A suggestion has once again been mused this week that the game of football may benefit from sliding tackles being completely outlawed in the game. Certainly it's not an idea that is anything new - Sepp Blatter considered it in 1997 and met with FIFA delegates to discuss the possibility of implementing the rule. Thankfully, this was never enforced through. However, with the debate once again cropping up, it wouldn't surprise anyone to hear Blatter was pondering such a rule for a second time.
