  The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, one of the most prestigious domestic T20 cricket tournaments of India is set to be played in Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has planned to host the entire tournament at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Earlier, the tournament was played in Indore. However, due to financial issues, the tournament was discontinued for the last 3 years.
  
  The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is an Indian List A cricket championship played in the memory of Indian cricketer Syed Mushtaq Ali. The trophy was instituted in 1990 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The tournament has been played annually ever since its inception, except for 1996 and 1998, when it was not held due to the 1998-99 Ranji Trophy tournament and the Indian Cricket League (ICL) respectively. The current champion is Uttar Pradesh.
  
  Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is a domestic T20 cricket competition in India. It is contested between 27 domestic teams of India. The teams are divided into 5 zonal groups: Central Zone, East Zone, North Zone, South Zone and West Zone. The tournament has two groups.
