You can add background pictures, sound and music, photos, and links, too. Links can include Google Earth and files from other Google sites. Easy to use!

Great Tool. I think I like this one the best of the mind mapping tools. bolder colors and thicker lines, shapes.

Would help kids who keep using the same words and/or need help describing their ideas.

I agree with using this on the whiteboard. Also, the graphic is simple and non-distracting, so kids who have a problem with visual perception would have an easier time with the visual organization using this tool.

Good option when you do not have access to a more robust graphic organizer program. The export option works with out registering with the site.

Oooh..this is such fun! It's a Beta version tool for creating interactive charts, maps, plots, diagrams, etc. Great visuals in 2D or 3D with thanks (by publisher) to the Google Chart Tools team. Your creation can be posted/shared, printed, emailed, etc.

Looks like a good way to show the students how to make charts, too.

Great site to see the world, the sky and Mars.

Google earth allows students to visit places all around the world without having to leave their seat. It is a great learning tool to be used in conjunction with any history curriculum.

Google Earth is an amazing resource and tool for teachers and students. This website would be good for teachers new to Google Earth to learn about and explore the different features.

Great tool! Easy to Use for teachers and students. There is a paid version and a free version. Paid version gives you more options for characters and backgrounds. I used this site to create a digital social story.

It took awhile to learn the various features and how to get the characters to move/actions. But once you get it it is fun!

Very cute! Users can be very creative and so easy to make educational, (social stories, instructions, etc)

I love mywebsipartion, if you have used Inspiration and Kidspiration you will find this tool easy to use.

This is a great site for geography. You can see the climate, population information and lots of others factors. You can also make your own maps.

Very much like webspiration but free! Does not appear as easy as webspiration but once you use it a while I am sure it will become easy to use.

You can collaborate, embed comments, websites, pdf. It's a pretty good tool. I would put this at the top of the list and would choose it before picking a lot of the others.

Great site that offers teaching and learning materials based on CURRENT TOPICS in the NY Times. Students can post their opinions, take quizzes, take part in self tests, check out the word of the day,etc. Today's "fill in the blank article" is based on the story of a cat from Co that was lost for 5yrs and found in NYC!!! Read article, then try to fill in the blanks!

We use this all the time. One of the best accessible tools for current events around. you can grab the icons for communication boards. they even give you boards in the lesson area.

You can get a version that reads it outloud.

This site has some very basic graphic organizers such as daily assignment recorders and outline planners for writing. It also has some more detailed items such as geography patterns that can be printed and used for cut & paste model-making (eg. prisms, hexagons). The 1st 5 items are free, but after that you're directed to a 7 day free trial or a subscription deal (now only $39.95/yr!)

There is a subscription but also a lot of free printables.

Hurray, forms I can type on. Look under "printables". Looks like you could use the graphics on a smartboard, too.

I like that in you mapping tools that you can add links and images.
