FunBrain is the #1 site for online educational games for kids of all ages. It provides a variety of different subjects and interactive games for educational use for children K-8. It also provides a supplemental teacher website that includes flash cards, curriculum finders, and homework ideas.

This website contains a variety of games, teacher resources, and many activites for students. It's a great warm up website, or for students who would like to practice their math facts.

I use the website for extra credit for the students. They can complete the self-check quizzes for test points. The quiz results can be printed or e-mailed to me. I also let parents know about the site so they can help their child study or if the parents want to print worksheets for their children to have extra practice at home. The Parent and Student Study Guide is a worksheet that has an answer key provided for the parents.

Creative projects for making math fun. I loved this site for the great ideas and imagination it has for mathematic projects. I will definitely use some of the ideas on this website for projects and for inspiration.

The resources by grade level provide great activities and puzzles for each objective of the ncscos. The indicators questions provide vocabulary and word problems for each objective for the ncscos. The week by week essentials are for review and problem solving.

Online dictionary of math terms and their definitions. This would make a good reference site for students that need to be reminded of math vocabulary and or formulas . I suggest it as a starting point for for a problem solving situation for students that need it.

This site provides book reviews for students from elementary and middle grade students. Students are also the reviewers, providing authenticity for other students. There is also school involvement from all over the world and class or student home pages can be created. Students can "read books, engage in book talks, discuss the elements of a book review, read and discuss reviews, write group reviews to practice writing summaries opinions and recommendations, work on their own reviews read their reviews for feedback from their peers, and publish their reviews."

This site gives you a way to create a tool bar for your website. Applications could be for school websites, teacher's websites. or webquests. It would help teachers encourage students particiapation in an online assignment by making it easier for students to link to the teachers website. After the assignment is done, students could delete the tool bar.

Google Docs will store documents for access to groups, and also allows students who may not be able to afford nice word processors and spreadsheet creators to use the same tools as everyone else. This would be a great tool for teachers trying to incorporate a e-community into their classroom and would be able to level the playing field for disadvantaged students.

RubiStar is a tool to help the teacher who wants to use rubrics but does not have the time to develop them from scratch. RubiStar provides generic rubrics that can simply be printed and used for many typical projects and research assignments.
