I first became aware of Moodle when I took algebra classes at CPCC. They have it installed on their servers to facilitate communication among students and teachers. It can also be used for online classes. It offers activity modules such as wikis, forums, databases, etc.

This is a site that a math teacher could use as it has polls. You could create your own polls to have students complete for class or use polls already on the site. You could creat pie graphs or work with percents by taking the info off the site.

I liken these templates to graphic organizers. This site has a library of templates for all sorts of mind mapping. Teachers can keep a library of the templates they made up for units of study or problem solving exercise.
