Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai will be reopening it doors to its admirers and patrons on the 15th August 2010. The hotel underwent massive renovation and reconstruction work utilising the services of internationally acclaimed designers.
India-based airline Jet Airways is hoping to agree an alliance with South Africa Airways. The deal has still to be approved by regulators but the marketing agreement could enable the two airlines to sell each other's fares on flights to Mumbai from Johannesburg.
Jet Airways has introduced 46 new flights to its domestic services to meet expected demand over the winter months. The airline will now offer a number of direct flights to Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderbad from Vishakhapatnam, as well as introducing flights to Delhi from Bhopal and Ahmedabad.
Berggruen Hotels is continuing its expansion into India with new hotel plans. Under the company's Keys branding, it is expected the Mumbai hotel will be ideal for the mid-market and could appeal to holidaymakers enjoying cheap flights to India.
The new timetable includes an additional 22 flights to Mumbai, Delhi and other Indian locations. A total of four new routes are to be introduced by the airline -Varanasit to Khajuraho, Udaipur to Jaipur, Jaipur to Jodhpur and New Delhi to Agra.
