TALKENGLISH.COM es una web americana gratuita donde se enseña inglés de una forma muy básica y muy clara. Indudablemente toda la pronunciación será americana pero en estos tiempos no viene mal que los alumnos se acostumbren a ella. Lo bueno de esta web es que las lecciones que trae son simples, cortas, van al grano directamente sin disgresiones y cubren todos los temas que los alumnos pueden necesitar. Me gusta especialmente porque los listenings que han incluido son todos diálogos, se escuchan muy bien por la calidad de sonido que poseen, son reales, y cortos (debemos recordar que los listenings que se les den a los alumnos no deben exceder se los 3 minutos ya que después de este tiempo, la mente comienza a dispersarse y la atención se reduce). Se escucha el diálogo y se hacen los ejercicios correspondientes que por lo general son multiple choice exercises. Yo uso la web especialmente para dar a los alumnos listening activities pero posee muchos más contenidos: clases de vocabulario, gramática, inglés para viajar, para negocios, incluso para entrevistas de trabajo. Un apartado muy interesante es el de la pronunciación ya que explican cómo se produce el sonido, los órganos que trabajan para producirlo y se dan ejemplos de los mismos. Pueden bajarse los contenidos de la web y usarse en iPhone y iPadApp. Yo generalmente entro en la web en clase y le hago escuchar a los alumnos la grabación que esté relacionada con la unidad que estamos dando en ese momento. Me parece de mucha utilidad.
