If reports are to be believed, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway are in talks with Paytm parent company One97 Communications to invest around Rs. 2,200-2,500cr in the digital payments company. A successful deal would mark Hathaway's first investment in India's growing tech start-up ecosystem.

Paytm has raised another $669.5 million (roughly ₹ 4,724 crore) funding. The latest round was reportedly led by existing investor Alipay, and also saw participation from SoftBank and T Rowe Price. Notably, this investment comes a couple of weeks after the company has received a whopping $1 billion.

Reliance Jio has started offering an attractive discount on select prepaid plans. The telecom giant has partnered with Paytm to offer up to ₹ 50 discount on the ₹ 444 and ₹ 555 All-in-One plans. Notably, these plans were introduced last month after the company started charging IUC charges.

HungerBox, a Bengaluru-based start-up, has raised $12 million in funding. The latest investment comes from Paytm, NPTK, along with participation from existing investors Sabre Partners and Neoplux. With the latest funding, the company aims to process over 1 million orders per day by March 2020.
