Mobile learning devices offer students a wide range of "on the go" opportunities to extend, enrich, and enhance classroom instruction. There are numerous educational apps available for iPod Touch and iPad for all subjects and grade levels.

Details a couple of different ways to use a first-generation system (SmartBoard) with next generation mobile tablet devices.  These are two interesting ways of bridging the gap between the two types of systems, if for instance, your institution has already invested in SmartBoards, but you also have access to a tablet device.  Includes links to software.

1. It occupies a new space in technology, one which is still undefined to some extent, yet which is likely to be significant over time. The space is between the mobile space occupied by phones and iPods, and the portable space which is where laptops and netbooks live.
