I am trying to figure out how to use sticky notes in diigo, I am going to post a website here, and put a sticky note on it. I want to see if you mates can see the note. If you can, try putting a sticky on the page also!

I did it! now the question is, will it show up on that page if you go to it by other means and not through diigo. I also found something called the diigo sidebar, that allows one to annotate webpages also. I used to really like delicious, but diigo just took the cake!

    Jorge,

My sticky notes always show up at textual annotations. I have been unable to see my highlights or sticky notes on the actual bookmark itself. Is this what you mean?

I have not tried highlighting yet, I will have to today. What I did with the sticky was, I went to Google, and inserted a sticky set to be visible within the si-summer-2012 group. It shows up to me as a little yellow square post-it style box that turns into my comment when hovered over, but I was wondering if that is the same thing everyone else sees. Maranda, do you have the diigo toolbar installed? That might be why you do not see your highlighting and the stickies.

I do actually have to tool bar. The sticky note and highlight shows up when I am actually in the middle of bookmarking my pages but if you were to click on the bookmark you wouldn't see it on the page. It just shows up in annotation style in the discussion.

I have a few stickies on a couple of my posts.

Let me know how yours goes!

    Maranda,
I went to the website you posted a sticky on- Related Bibliography « Social Informatics Blog- and I can see the sticky you posted. I also see your highlighting, also on the web page itself. When I go to the SI group page on diigo, the sticky and one of the highlights appears. The other highlights appear on diigo's group page, but glitchy.

Hmmm, at least you guys can see them I guess. I am finding diigo to be not very user friendly thus far but maybe it will just take some more getting use to.

I'm having the same issue Maranda. I can't see what I've done, or my picture for that matter, but others can see them. Perhaps it's the browser? I thought that diigo working better in Firefox but maybe I was wrong. I'm coming at this stuff late because of work/end of kids' school commitments so possibly I will find things easier as I keep using it.
