Very fitting for our PC8005 readings, as well as what we're learning in Professor Fung's class. Another example of how technology and new developments can leave a lot of people behind, unless they adapt to new forms of technology quickly! 

I think is really interesting when we look at the ways we communicate health causes and programs. Movember has turned into a really "sexy" cause as is support for a lot of other campaigns.

Twitter posted this "Best Practices for journalists" on their blog. Twitter wasn't 'meant' or built to be a tool for professional communicators but has obviously been used as such since its creation. I just found it really interesting that the tool is telling the storyteller how to do his/her job. I wonder why Twitter as an organization felt the need to post this best practices for journalists. What is the communication strategy here? Do they hope to change Twitter practices? Bring in more would-be journalists on the site? They even include quantitative research and examples to support their recommendations!

This is a great blog from HBR that explores the importance of change readiness (implies that change is always present) as opposed to change management (implies change is new and needs to be managed) and which communication tools can support change.

Is it the technology or the teaching? "The use of technology in the classroom helps us create an environment that fosters these skills."
