    I am a great fan of graphic novels, as are my students! Comic Rockets for readers writers artists takes users to the actual website and helps them find and track web comics. Oh and I found it on a fabulous site www.thelibraryasincubatorproject.org

    Jeff Utecht's blog entry about a novel way to teach students search skills. Give students and start and end point. Eg. 3rd Grade - give students: Rocks and Volcanoes. Start with Rocks and create a search story that gets them to end the search story with how Rocks and Volcanoes are related.

    This is a really handy website which I use both personally and professionally. I am really keen on the idea of using fiction to help teach history. I think reading historical fiction helps bring history 'alive' and stimulates an interest in finding out more. Even if the book is not 100% correct it doesn't matter as discovering this is part of the learning process and encourages critical thinking.
