This site provides the media and the general public with information about the Australia Telescope National Facility and educational resources on many aspects of astronomy. Link from Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) home page. http://outreach.atnf.csiro.au/ CensusAtSchool is a free Internet based data education research data, developed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) for Australian teachers and students.

This is a fully searchable database of all the 780 First Fleet convicts via a number of search options. Searching can be done by name, ship or by crime. The data can be downloaded free of charge provided it is for non-commercial use. This is a great way to introduce students to real data based on real people. There are many opportunities to introduce children to the language of the day through information written in the database based on the occupations listed for some of the convicts.
