The Australian Bureau of Statistics publishers 'Year Book Australia' a useful source of Australian Statistical Information as well as information about the Australian Government. Excellent site to refer to students. If you prefer the print version, Year Book Australia should be available at your local public library.

Loved that showing this to my students meant I could show them that their small town of Kyabram is mentioned in National Library sources.

Information about Indigenous people, mainly in Victoria and the Northern Territory. The Melbourne Office holds Victorian records dating from 1860. The Archives also holds records on the development of Australian Government policies on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs, as well as more recent records on the amendment of the 1967 Constitution to allow the Australian Government to legislate for all Aboriginal people.

Asia Education Foundation (AEF) enables educators to develop Asia literate young Australians. They support teachers, principals, education leaders and school communities to implement the Australian Curriculum cross-curriculum priority of Asia and Australia's engagement with Asia.

This site provides the media and the general public with information about the Australia Telescope National Facility and educational resources on many aspects of astronomy. The research guides at the State Library (Vic) are great and cover many subjects but I have found this guide particularly useful with secondary students. It focuses on Australian soldiers who served in WWI. Topics: soldiers, battles, medals, personal stories and more.
