Spicy Carrot, Tomato and Lentil Soup - 0 views

  •
love soup. I know, it's a big statement. There is this little cafe downstairs from my day-job office. They are friendly, and they make a good cup of tea and they have soup at lunch….$8.50 soup. It does come with lovely bread, but really, $8.50? It is not any more expensive, and is actually at times cheaper, than any of the other cafes around

Very Veggie Fried Rice - 0 views

  •
Who doesn't love fried rice? It's a classic Chinese take out side that no one can resist! This time around we are making it healthier by swapping out the white rice with brown, omitting the ham and packing in the veggies. You get a veggie overload in this rice and you are going to love it! And it's so filling that you could even count this as your main dish instead of just a side. If you really wanted to you could even dice up some chicken breasts into small pieces and cook those in the wok first, set them aside and then add them back in when you add the rice. It's so good as it is though that is really doesn't need any thing else added

Vegetable Paella - Home - burgh baby - 0 views

  •
In an attempt to disprove the rumor that I only cook things that cause people to gain fifteen pounds just by looking at them, I thought it might be a good time to post the recipe for vegetable paella. It's something that I learned to make while I lived in Spain in high school. Alexis loves it more than just about anything else I conjure up for dinner, so hopefully someday I'll be able to sit on the couch, snap my fingers, and have her cook it while I pick my nose or something.

7 Reasons to Hand Water your Garden | Eartheasy Blog - 0 views

  •
Who has time to hand water the garden? Standing there with the hose in hand, one's mind drifts to all the other things that need doing. And as the mental list of chores lengthens, I find myself wiggling the hose to make it water faster (it doesn't!). There are smarter, more efficient ways of getting this mundane task accomplished, of course. - See more at: http://learn.eartheasy.com/2015/05/7-reasons-to-hand-water-your-garden/#sthash.kNpeSddz.dpuf

Amazing Salad Vertical Gardens | Home Design, Garden & Architecture Blog Magazine - 0 views

  •
you would like to have fresh salads in your kitchen all the time, without having to spend money on them, you should create this vertical salad planter. The cool thing about this planter is that it doesn't occupy a lot of space and you can place it almost anywhere in your garden. The planter will have removable shelves, so you can move the plants from one place to the other and even leave more space for others that require a larger area in order to grow. You will need pieces of wood that need to be assembled in the shape of the planter from the pictures. You can buy pre-cut wood, so it will be easier to work with it that way. Once you are ready, you can start growing your own lettuce and even strawberries if you want, as vertical planters

Thai Lemongrass Soup - 0 views

  •
After I made this the other day I realized I wasn't sure of it's appropriateness for this time of year. This might sound like a weird thing to say about soup, but it's rather summery. Yeah, I know lots of people aren't big on a hot bowl of spicy broth in the warmer months, but in this case I think the tomatoes, lime and cilantro make this a soup of the more refreshing variety
