    The government has requested state-run lenders to identify potential bottlenecks in the fifty odd and newly sanctioned infrastructure projects, with the objective to fast track projects which have a combined outlay of over Rs 1 lakh crore and involves firms such as Petronet, HPCL-Mittal, L&T, PFC and Ansal. Approximately Rs12,000 crore has been sanctioned by various banks for these projects.

    If the state government has its way, permission will not be given for the construction of apartments if it doesn't specify its water source. The government may soon come out with a condition for housing project promoters to specify source of water. Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said the No-Objection Certificate (NoC) would not be given by the authorities to apartments and other big housing projects if the projects don't have a water source. Replying to M Srinivas (JDS) in the legislative council, Siddaramaiah said he has received many complaints from people who purchase flats but find there's no water available. "Whether water is available or not should be checked first before giving NoC," he said.

    Few new infrastructure developments thats coming up in Delhi for better connectivity.. one of them is a six-lane flyover which has been planned to be built at the Hero Honda Chowk along the Delhi-Jaipur highway (NH-8), Gurgaon. The cost is estimated to be around Rs 100 crore which is given by the Central government. Elevated road is proposed to be developed near the Dadri-Surajpur-Chalera (DSC) road till a flyover near Bhangel. The proposed six-lane road will be 5.5 km-long. The Noida Authority has given its nod to the project. According to sources, it has been estimated that around 20 highway projects involving an investment of about Rs 27,000 crore.
