Storybirds are short, art-inspired stories you make to share, read, and print.

Storybird is a service that uses collaborative storytelling to connect kids, families and teachers. Two (or more) people author a Storybird-one with words, one with pictures-and then share it with their network. The final product can be printed, watched on screen, played with like a toy, or shared through a worldwide library. For the teachers is possible to create thematic assignments within seconds to support their lesson plans. Assign privacy settings, turn Spellcheck on or off, and issue due dates. Digital storytelling is simply using computer-based tools to tell stories. There are many different ways to do this - from making movies, recording voices, creating animations or electronic books. Fantastic way to be creative. Try to make a stop-motion video using a normal camera or even camera-phone. Either make the stop-motion (many pictures quickly put behind each other makes a stop-motion film) on the computer or directly on the iPhone: there are many apps out there for that. Let them share their videos (even across the different European pilots) Pedagogical uses: creativity, photography, storytelling.
