While doing Mobile App Testing, we come across with few challenges. What are those major challenges?

As we all know that mobile industry keeps changing at a very fast past pace with new competitors entering into the market with latest mobile OS and dimensions .Today, Mobile world is totally dependent on the quality of applications it consists of. This is because a single risk in application can spoil the interest, entertainment and business of the users resulting in loss of faith towards the market leaders. It is important for a mobile application to be compatible with the platform like Android, Windows, Blackberry and many more. Apart from this, there is a major role of the type of Operator and its services so that there could be a performance test .

The long term benefits of having an offshore software testing are following:-
Second Opinion about the Product: An individual living in a different surrounding or environment can give a better insight of the product from a QA perceptive.
Risk Reduction: Each business has a certain amount of risk. Technologies, markets, financial conditions etc, change quite frequently and drastically.

SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE - 0 views

Software quality assurance has always an important role to play. Some companies don't pay heed to quality and thus it leads to significant amount of money loss and damage to their brands. It takes cost and effort to develop a software\application and releasing it without proper QA may lead to disaster for that application and brand. So, nowadays most of the companies have realized this and now they pay equal attention in testing a product rather than laying more emphasis on development. Testing a product thoroughly will not only lead to creating a quality product but it also invokes confidence among the stake holders, thus leading to company's growth.

While in the case of Security testing the main emphasis is being laid on to make sure that no external threat is encountered, and no confidential information is leaked which can be disastrous for the organization. So, it is better for a security tester to stop considering end users as customers and should perform some negative testing considering end users as potential threat as well and of course think from the viewpoint of mischievous crackers and hackers.

Although every testing team follows their own set of processes. Is it possible to create a universal process that every tester must use to achieve best results?

When such type of question arises, often we find that people divided themselves in two groups i.e. Favor and Against .Let's check out the both group's viewpoint.
Favor: Yes It is possible to Create Universal Process to achieve best results. Every tester should know what is the test objective of his/her project, After tester knows the test objective clearly then he/she should know the different test Scenarios, along with different Test Scenarios Tester should know what is the expected result of his/her scenario.
Against :It's quite difficult to have and implement a universal process which every tester can look up to as Software Testing is very vast field and every team/engineer has its own set of processes which might be very effective in the respective team.

Have you ever heard of the cloud based applications testing?

Cloud based application basically comes under SaaS a solution which runs completely on cloud infrastructure. While testing cloud based application, we need to first ensure that three levels are maintained i.e. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Majorly the platform available on the cloud. While testing our application in house the platform may vary when we test over the cloud, so you would have to consider the available platform and change your test plan accordingly.

Before moving ahead with Automated Software Testing it's better to clear the points what to automate and what not to. The things one need to keep in mind strictly is what will be the best automation tool which can meet all the requirements, what features to automate and in which manner are they going to be utilized unit test, integration test. The other thing is feasibility of automating a feature, is it worth to automate it? A brief and clear checkpoint before starting automation will not only help in a robust automation suite, will also save efforts, time and will be best utilized, the stability of the application i.e. whether the application is stable enough to handle automation tests

    Usability Testing
This technique is used for determining that the intended users of a system will be able to perform the intended task effectively and satisfactorily. Usability testing it is carried out pre-release so that any significant issues identified can be addressed. It can be carried out at any stages of the design process. Usability testing is not a substitute for a human centered design process.

    Regression Testing
Regression testing is done to uncover new software bugs in existing functional and non-functional areas of a system after changes, like enhancements, patches etc have been made to them. It also helps to find out that change in on part of software will affect the other part or not. It also indulges with the prevention of new faults.

    Test Automation Framework
In order to have effective framework in Test Automation, the following points should always be adhered to:-

    a) Clear Road Map: There are different ways to design and implement an automation framework. The first thing that an Automation Engineer should target before indulging himself into creating a Framework should be to have a clear road map as to how to build a framework. He should also make sure that everyone involved should be on the same page.
    b) Re-factoring Codes: Automation work can generally be divided into two parts i.e. one is Automation Framework Creation and the second is Test Cases Creation and Execution using the Automation Framework. In a good Automation Framework, refactoring should always be done on the Automation Framework creation.

    QA Testing Methodology
QA testing methodology involves the whole software development process like Development, Testing, Project Management and Requirements Management. Our Core Processes are the foundation of our Test Program which supports Manual, Performance and Automated testing. We treat QA as a part of development process not as at the end of the development cycle.

    QA Process
Software Testing is a wide term which cannot be isolated to a single process, as every task is done in a number of ways. Different persons have different perspective to think and they put logic in different ways. So if we make one process and get it implemented to all the projects, it will affect the project as different scenarios and alternate flows cannot be checked or could be missed by the implemented common process.

    Software Quality Assurance
Before or while going ahead with the testing of Service Oriented Architecture application, we must ensure that proper attention has been given to analysis, design phase and quality control. We would be doing both functional and non-functional testing to get best results and expectation would be that unit and integration testing would be done religiously by developer.
