UliPad uses Mixin and Plugin technique as its architecture. Most of its classes can be extended via mixin and plugin components, and finally become an integrity class when creating the instance. So UliPad is very dynamic. You can write the new features in new files, and hardly need to modify the existing code. In short: run your existing Python software much faster, with no change in your source. Think of Psyco as a kind of just-in-time (JIT) compiler, a little bit like what exists for other languages, that emit machine code on the fly instead of interpreting your Python program step by step. The difference with the traditional approach to JIT compilers is that Psyco writes several version of the same blocks (a block is a bit of a function), which are optimized by being specialized to some kinds of variables (a "kind" can mean a type, but it is more general). The result is that your unmodified Python programs run faster. Benefits 2x to 100x speed-ups, typically 4x, with an unmodified Python interpreter and unmodified source code, just a dynamically loadable C extension module. Drawbacks Psyco currently uses a lot of memory. It only runs on Intel 386-compatible processors (under any OS) right now. There are some subtle semantic differences (i.e. bugs) with the way Python works; they should not be apparent in most programs.

The pyparsing module is an alternative approach to creating and executing simple grammars, vs. the traditional lex/yacc approach, or the use of regular expressions. The pyparsing module provides a library of classes that client code uses to construct the grammar directly in Python code.

PyInstaller is a program that converts (packages) Python programs into stand-alone executables, under Windows, Linux and Irix. Its main advantages over similar tools are that PyInstaller works with any version of Python since 1.5, it builds smaller executables thanks to transparent compression, it is multi-platform (so you can build one-file binaries also under Linux), and use the OS support to load the dynamic libraries, thus ensuring full compatibility. PyInstaller is an effort to rescue, maintain and further develop Gordon McMillan's Python Installer (now PyInstaller). Their official website is not longer available and the original package is not longer maintained. Epydoc is a tool for generating API documentation for Python modules, based on their docstrings. For an example of epydoc's output, see the API documentation for epydoc itself (html, pdf). A lightweight markup language called epytext can be used to format docstrings, and to add information about specific fields, such as parameters and instance variables.
