Internet Safety With Professor Garfield currently offers an animated lesson on cyberbullying and an animated lesson about online safety. As you might guess from the site's title, the lessons feature Garfield. Both lessons use the same model in which students watch a cartoon, take an informal quiz, then try to apply their new knowledge to a few different scenarios.

This blog entry includes links to sixteen of the best  websites pertaining to internet safety for kids. Some are US-based, however, it provides a great starting point for those schools who are starting to tread cybersafety as a priority. 

NetSmartzKids is a website set up to teach children and young adults about using the internet safely. Well worth a look when working on cyber safety with kids. US Focussed, but still has much relevant information.

A great video to introduce K-2 to certain aspects of Internet Safety. The video makes some comparisons between the real world, and the online world, and at the end sets some rules to follow. Worth a look. 

Some nice CyberSafety resources/websites for those of you who teach Cyber-Safety in your school

ThinkB4U is a new series of web safety videos and tutorials from Google and its partners. Using the "choose your own adventure" aspect of YouTube video editing, ThinkB4U offers interactive videos to educate viewers about things like protecting online reputations, avoiding scams, research and critical thinking, and responsible text messaging. ThinkB4U is divided into three basic sections; students, parents, and educators. Each section addresses nine different topics related to safe and responsible use of the Internet and cell phones. The sections include short videos about the topics, a short written lesson, and some interactive games on the topics of responsible use of the Internet and of cell phones.

This has some very good resources for use with young people around safe use of the web/cyber bullying etc.
