LearningTimes.org is an open community for education and training professionals. Members have free access to a wide range of opportunities to interact and network with peers from across the globe. Member activities include live webcasts and interviews with industry leaders, online debates and discussions, live coverage of industry conferences, and international working groups. The LearningTimes.org community also features free group collaboration tools, such as virtual meeting rooms, a site-wide instant messenger, and virtual office suites, making it a vital place on the web for thousands of education professionals to meet and interact at any time. This would be good for my school and district. It would be a good place to collaborate and interact with each other.

This site offers teachers professional development that is standards based. Teachers can earn graduate credit, professional development points or CEU's while gaining strategies and resources to bring directly to the classroom

This is a site by the PBS channel. This site offers standards based graduate-level courses. There are trainings offered from preK-12. There is a wide variety of courses and they are full of amazing information.

There usually are teacher discussion booklets and or teaching materials to go with most things. I have also found that the standards base curriculum is very helpful

Advanced Education is a online professional development site that provides information and training on the latest 21st century technology that is used in the classroom, such as the SMART Board. Lesson plans for these technologies are provided, as well as links to other helpful educational resource websites.

I like this blog because it incorporates professional development as well as many other hot topics in education. There are blogs about technology, staff training and conferences, and about funding issues. This is a good resource for any educator.

A list of workshops, conferences, and institutes that will have something for all educators. Also has teacher resources including free downloads and an email address if you can't find what you are looking for.

This is a great site for educators or districts. It offers so many options. There are teacher resources, online learning, timely topics, workshops, and even conferences. The site itself also features professional development courses to take or have done at your school.

The tutorials on this page are very good and are worth the time. Some of the live tutorials were frustrating because you needed a phone and a computer, but you have a live instructor and that is worth a great deal. The techniques, the fun, the time involved were very different yet the same as making a PowerPoint only with a twist.

The goal of Verizon Thinkfinity's professional development is to help educators, parents and afterschool practitioners engage students and enhance learning using their online resources. The site also offers many lesson plans and interactives for teachers to use in their classrooms.
