SMART Training Center - 0 views

The tutorials on this page are very good and are worth the time. Some of the live tutorials were frustrating because you needed a phone and a computer, but you have a live instructor and that is worth a great deal. The techniques, the fun, the time involved were very different yet the same as making a PowerPoint only with a twist.

Timetoast Timelines | Create timelines, share them on the web. - 0 views

  •
This is a fun online timeline creator, which can be shared with others online. A valid email is needed to create a timeline, but that could be set up by the teacher or LMS. It's very visual in learning about time.

Internet4Classrooms - Helping Teachers Use the Internet Effectively - 0 views

This is an excellent resource for teachers who want to put technology into their classrooms. This site is geared more for home schooling kids, but I use it all the time. There are tons of sites you can use for all grade levels. Once you go to the grade level you want, you then can look at it for each specific subject area. This has been a wonderful source that I use for my Computer Center for guided reading.

I just thought this website was fun for learning all kinds of interesting information. There are so many people online all the time, why not use each other for help with any type of question. It was interesting to read the things that people were talking about and a great way to learn information. I think is also a great tool for using to quickly find information on any information you might be wondering about or may want to start a discussion about.

Professional Learning Board: K12 Teacher Staff Development Online Courses - 0 views

This is a site you have to pay to have access to, but I think some of the courses have real merit for classroom teachers. This would be a neat way for teachers to inidividualize their professional development time.

This site is great for any curriculum area. Add as many words as you would like to the list. The more times you add the word, the larger it will appear. The end result is a unique "word cloud". Great for discussion starters, vocabulary terms, etc.

I tried to visit this site, but it is currently down. Lawyers :(

Skype - 0 views

Skype is a great tool that allows you to connect virtually everywhere and to anyone. Imagine that you want your students to be able to talk with a famous author in your classroom. Skype can do just that. Skype can visually and orally connect you with others around the world at a click of a button. This would be great in the classroom, professional development meetings, guest speakers and much more.

Skype is such a wonderful resource, in and out of the classroom. At the present time, facebook, cell phones and Skype are howf my family communicate. Tonight I talked to my parents, and two sets of aunts and uncles. One set who were celebrating their 50th anniversary.
