4Teachers.org is designed to help teachers integrate technology into their classroom by offering online tools and resources. There are also tools for student use. Here teachers can discover valuable professional development resources addressing a variety of issues including technology planning, and at-risk or special-needs students.

This is an e-Learning blog. The author of this blog tries to find new web 2.0 tools that would be beneficial to educators who are looking to integrate technology into their classrooms. He describes new tool that he has discovered and shares his thoughts, feelings, and findings about each tool.

The Knowledge Loom is a site where teachers around the world can access educational research on various practices and learn how to get the same success in their school from the shared stories in real schools or districts. Teachers have the opportunity to add their own stories and knowledge and to discover links to supporting organization and resources.

I have primarily used this site for streaming videos, but I've discovered through this assignment that it offers so much more. There is a fee, but it is well worth it.

With Geni, you can build your family tree, invite relatives to collaborate, preserve your family history, discover new relatives, share family photos and videos, and remember birthdays and anniversaries. Geni is private and secure. Only the people in your family can see your tree. I think this would be a wonderful tool to help teach research and organizational skills in a very secure and controlled environment.

Create and discover social networks for your interests. Connect with people that have the same ideas, beliefs, concerns etc. Create a page that centers around you. This could be used in education to connect to your students and incorporate technology into the classroom. This site could be used in multiple ways within your classroom and district. This would be a great way to connect with your students. I believe that allowing your students to chat on a site like Ning would make them more likely to participate in classroom discussion. Sites like these are the things that our students do everyday.

This is an awesome site for book lovers! It allows you to browse through popular books, which I love to do, just to see what people are reading for an idea of what to read next. Then you can put books that you own on your "shelf". You can then have friends and share actual books with each other, if you live nearby. It is also a great place to read ratings on books. It then links you to Amazon and other libraries where you could check our or buy the books! You can also put your "bookshelf" on a blog to show off your interests to all your friends.
