This is a great blog with tons of resources for teachers! I love the must watch educational videos section, as well as the "cool links" area of the site. Everyone should check this out!

Love this site! Google has provided schools with a professional development guideline to teach Google apps. These are awesome tools that are not utilized enough in the classroom and this would be a great way to show your colleagues what is out there for them.

Ok, so this site won't really help you in your classroom activities so much, but if you're looking to get out of your current job and start teaching at the university, this is the site for you.

This website offers a ton of great resources including lesson plans, rubrics, links to other sites, and even printables all centered around the use of technology in the classroom.

I posted this website because I think it is so amazing to see what types of new tools and resources are available that schools are able to purchase to enrich learning and teaching. I know that most of the tools and technology on this page are not ones that teachers would purchase on their own, but I know our school offers building and district wide grants. Knowing that tools like this exist would be helpful if you ever wanted to rally in bringing new technology to your building!!

The Education Podcast Network is an effort to bring together into one place, the wide range of podcast programming that may be helpful to teachers looking for content to teach with and about, and to explore issues of teaching and learning in the 21st century.

Heads up on another type of "smartboard".  This system has a website and there are blogs talking about how to implement this Mimio technology into the classroom.  

On GoAnimate you can make your own animated characters, direct your own cartoons and watch others' creations. It's easy and free! I think this would be a fun way to allow students the creative freedom to construct graphic-novel-type book reports or fictional stories. This would also be a wonderful way for students to retell the plot line of the story for the class.

The directions are easy: Upload your files from your desktop, edit and view your docs from any computer or smart phone. This is a great resource for teachers and students as the students can work on an assignment from their computer at home and the teacher can access it and see how they are doing.

A wiki is a page or collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. Wikispaces then, is built to work anywhere, anytime. All you need is a web browser and an Internet connection. Members can create pages and spaces without undue restrictions or rules. Guests can edit pages without creating an account. Wiki pages are fully internationalized, so you can contribute content in any language you like. Wikispaces gives groups the freedom to publish pages that are long-lived, regularly updated, and built by many contributors. It gives you the space to both publish and discuss content, without tangling the two together. Wikispaces is designed to be usable for everyone. A visual editor is utilized to let you see the layout and design of your page while you're editing it. No technical knowledge is required. And Wikispaces is fast even in large communities with lots of activity.

This site is a great place to start using wikis. Wikis allow you to post information and collaborate with others on topics. By allowing others to see the wiki you have created, they have the opportunity to edit the information and add to it. This would be a great way to work with others via the internet. This site allows for a lot of possibilities.

PowerPoints that are already created on just about any area you can think of including library skills. This is a link to the library one, but the home page has PowerPoints for every subject area. Great site! I use this at least twice per week. Power Point presentations, web links, games and activities for nearly every topic in every subject being taught. The work has already been done for you!

This is a PBS site about media literacy. It has teacher resources and professional development ideas related to media literacy.

This site offers so much. The teacher activity packs allow teachers to upload lessons, links, and activities to their own websites. There is a PD section with online courses for teachers. Lesson ideas are connected to standards and are available for many different grades.

A site full of lessons that can be categorized by grade levels and topics. With each category there is a "professional development" tab with great instruction and ideas.

This is a free online journal that addresses the use of multimedia resources in online education. You can sign up to get notifications when new issues appear online.

This site is a list of internet resources that help classroom teachers. There are resources on classroom management, curriculum, teacher/parent/student relationships, professional organizations, literacy and much more!

The sites are catagrized by best practices, critical thinking and management, discipline and classroom management, free online workshops, parent/teacher relationships, and and video clips of technology use.

This lady did a Technology seminar in Kansas City that I was able to attend two years ago. Since then, I always use her website that she has. There is incredible ideas and websites for teachers, parents, and students. Whenever I am trying to find something, this is almost always the first place I go to.

This site offers teachers professional development that is standards based. Teachers can earn graduate credit, professional development points or CEU's while gaining strategies and resources to bring directly to the classroom

This is a site by the PBS channel. This site offers standards based graduate-level courses. There are trainings offered from preK-12. There is a wide variety of courses and they are full of amazing information.

There usually are teacher discussion booklets and or teaching materials to go with most things. I have also found that the standards base curriculum is very helpful

A host of information and links for connecting librarians. This site contains lessons, units, handouts, rubrics, presentations, and teaching tips. A great place to share and learn.

A wiki just for librarians to take from others and share their own ideas and insights.
