Thank you! Here are all the tools you need to get your teachers up and running! | Simpl... - 3 views

AWESOME site! And FREE!!! Great resource for teaching teachers to use Virtual Field Trips. I especially like the one about teaching student to mummify things (morbid, I know, but this is very easy-to-use steps for teaching students science processess!)....this site has exceptional 'trips' (otherwise known as 'lessons', but don't tell the students that!) on a wide variety of topics!

Core Knowledge Lesson Plans - 1 views

In-depth lesson plans following the Core Knowledge Curriculum. These are great supplements to state requirements, even if your school doesn't use the Core Knowledge Curriculum exclusively.

Pete's Power Point Station - 3 views

Great site! I use this at least twice per week. Power Point presentations, web links, games and activities for nearly every topic in every subject being taught. The work has already been done for you!

Excellent source for spicing up the bland research project! Teachers can grade and comment on project before it is uploaded to the web. Students can create a project such as research on a topic, locate images that are uploaded to each 'side' of the cube, create a Word document with their research info and upload it too! Even interactive hyperlinks can be imbedded into the cube.

This website provides short videos of 'teachers-in-action'. My personal favorite is China through Mapping, as you follow an Early Childhood Teacher through the steps of a class-created GIANT map, all while learning about China. \nThe entire site is filled with great videos that 'teach teachers' about great classroom ideas!

Xtranormal | Text-to-Movie - 0 views

Add written text, choose an animated character, and xtranormal creates a movie! Great for creative writing lessons in the classroom. If students know that their 'writing' will be used to create a movie, they will be more cautious about their editing, wording, etc. Plus, they get to 'watch' something they created!

Text Message (SMS) Polls and Voting, Audience Response System | Poll Everywhere - 0 views

Have cell phone? Will VOTE! Sites such as this one eliminate the need for personal voting devices during lectures. The only requirement is that students each have a cell phone, but most high school students do. Regular texting charges apply, so the 'unlimited' plan is certainly best - it WILL come to this though!

Resource Search Results : Promethean Planet - 0 views

Even without a Promethean Board (interactive whiteboard), teachers can download tons of lessons (called flipcharts) and, using an overhead projector, can operate them from their computer. You do have to 'subscribe' but one version of the subscription is free. You can search for lessons by state, subject, even the standard being taught.

Science of the Olympic Winter Games | lessonopoly.org - 2 views

  •
Designed primarily for Jr-Sr High students, the INCREDIBLE video clips offer a superb look at science theories as applied to the the Winter Olympic sports. The accompanying worksheets and quizzes are too advanced for younger students, however the videos are very interesting for students as young as 3rd grade.
