One part of journalism we didn't discuss we human interest strories. These story's tell us more about our local neighborhoods and usually are entertaining and informative. This is done by a friend of mine, Boyd Huppert.

I don't know if a bill is an appropriate article, but i did find this interesting. The bill is not as bad as those who oppose it in the media make it out to be. But whats interesting is looking at the number of people who support it publicly; out of 500 people only 2% support this bill, yet it passed the senate 93% in favor to 7% not in favor.

The ethics in the Google company through it's development.

Very interesting historical analysis, Joshua. One major trend this reveals is how "reactive" as opposed to "preventative" business ethics has been. Also, Google's n-gram viewer is a great research tool. Interesting article on how 75 percent graduating seniors in South Dakota graduate with debt. This does not have a lot to do with ethics, but thought it was interesting none the less. South Dakota rates 1 for the proportion.

Thought this was interesting because we have talked about this in discussion, and brings up interesting pointers in which may be the end.

This is a 6 minute video Cable Hardin and I did for Daktronics. I was supposed to be for incoming employees, to learn more about Daktronics and the values the company holds. It has, however, become somewhat of a sales tool as well. Some customers are interested in who they are buying equipment from.

This is an interesting look at how culture affects business done in Egypt. Some of the practices could be considered unethical in other countries.

Being a pre-law student, I found this article especially interesting. It really does help to show why attorney's are seen so negatively sometimes. The article mentions how no one wants to pay for bad news, but sometimes that's what lawyers have to give to be ethical; the truth isn't always what we want, but it's often what we need. If attorney's told clients what they wanted to hear, even if it was not true, it could ultimately cost the client even more money and even get them into trouble.

Very good article on the moral dimension of the work lawyers do--as opposed to the usual focus on the moral character of lawyers themselves; interesting points on compensation as well.
