I see a couple of ethical questions:
1. Is this improper censorship of websites or justified ceasing of sites that may be acting illegally?
2. Is it okay to apply a broad net that may catch more innocent fish than is justified?

If it's true that they only pulled the ads because the show would cause controversy, I'm unimpressed; the mucky-mucks at Lowe's certainly aren't uncanny outlaws.
This is a feel good story, and actually goes along with one of the main industries in SoDak, hunting. The state of Wisconsin is promoting ethics by giving out awards to the most ethical hunters.
Interesting article on how 75 percent graduating seniors in South Dakota graduate with debt. This does not have a lot to do with ethics, but thought it was interesting none the less. South Dakota rates 1 for the proportion.
