UNITED NATIONS: In response to rejection of Pakistan's four-point peace plan by India, Bilal Ahmad, the Counselor Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, submitted Islamabad's formal response to UN chief, Samaa reported Friday. Two gunmen riding a motorcycle shot and killed a policeman in Karimabad area of Karachi yesterday. One portion of the firing episode was caught on CCTV camera, in which gunmen can be seen opening fire on policeman, who was not in the frame. As they opened fire on the policeman, passers-by started running to escape the attack.
DUBAI: Pakistan People's Party is facing a serious crisis as differences have crept up amongst senior leaders whether or not Asif Ali Zardari should remain at the helms of the party, Samaa reported. Our correspondent quoting party sources reported that leadership crisis in the party has deepened as some PPP senior leaders have expressed lack of confidence over Zardari's leadership during their recent meetings in Dubai.
OKARA: Just like NA-122, images of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari are unambiguously missing from the banners and posters put up by the party in the whole of NA-144 constituency, Samaa reported Friday. According to Samaa correspondent, Zardari's pictures was not made part of party banners and billboards on directives of Sajjad-ul-Hassan, PPP's candidates from NA-144 where by-elections are scheduled for Oct.11.

Addressing a public gathering at National Bank Colony Samanabad, here, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan's roadshow politics had damaged the country's economy.
