KARACHI: Major Genera Bilal Akbar, Director General of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), Thursday met Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and conveyed his reservations regarding advertisement against paramilitary force by police in local dailies. KARACHI: Engineer Rashid, an independent Muslim lawmaker from Indian-occupied Kashmir, paid a tribute to Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creating a separate country for the Muslims of sub-continent. "I salute Mr Jinnah for his struggle," Engineer Rashid, who was attacked by extremist group Hindu Sena in Mumbai today, told SAMAA in a telephonic interview.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday declared an independent candidate, Riaz-ul-Haq winner from NA-144 by securing 85,714 votes in by-election. According to ECP, an independent candidate Chaudhry Riazul Haq got 85,714 votes while Ali Arif Chaudhry of Pakistan Muslim League (N) achieved 45,199 votes in NA-144.
