At least 78 people were killed and over 140 more injured on Wednesday night when a train derailed just outside of the Spanish city Santiago de Compostela. Initial reports suggest the train may have been travelling too fast.

Two gunmen riding a motorcycle shot and killed a policeman in Karimabad area of Karachi yesterday. One portion of the firing episode was caught on CCTV camera, in which gunmen can be seen opening fire on policeman, who was not in the frame. As they opened fire on the policeman, passers-by started running to escape the attack.
RAWALPINDI: A man was killed on Sunday when pieces of a concrete block from newly built Metro Bridge fell on his head. The man, whose identity was yet to be known, sustained serious wounds and was shifted to a hospital for treatment where he died.
