ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday chaired a high-level emergency meeting to review the relief measures taken in the wake of the earthquake that struck country yesterday. The meeting was convened to discuss comprehensive plan to tackle the situation in the aftermath of the disaster that resulted in the loss of lives and damaged infrastructure.

ISLAMABAD: Strong tremors were felt in parts of the country including South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Samaa reported Monday. According to our correspondent the earthquake jolted Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Quetta, Peshawar, Kohat, Abbottabad, Swat, Malakand and other cities and towns of the country.
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan army says that at least 123 people have died from a powerful earthquake which has rattled many parts of Pakistan today (Monday). In a press statement on social media, DG ISPR Let-Gen Asim Bajwa said that Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif flew to some affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assess the rescue operation.
