KARACHI: Engineer Rashid, an independent Muslim lawmaker from Indian-occupied Kashmir, paid a tribute to Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creating a separate country for the Muslims of sub-continent. Two gunmen riding a motorcycle shot and killed a policeman in Karimabad area of Karachi yesterday. One portion of the firing episode was caught on CCTV camera, in which gunmen can be seen opening fire on policeman, who was not in the frame. As they opened fire on the policeman, passers-by started running to escape the attack.
RAWALPINDI: A man was killed on Sunday when pieces of a concrete block from newly built Metro Bridge fell on his head. The man, whose identity was yet to be known, sustained serious wounds and was shifted to a hospital for treatment where he died.
