This bird was brought up lately. We were heading up into the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness and seen this bird. What caught my eye is the yellow/orange "eyebrows". Well I just had to confront this fellow and take a photograph! I did not realize what I was in for!!

Many people come here in good weather to camp, boat, fish on and on. Many people do not get to see what we get to see in the winter. We chose where we wanted to go, and headed out. We were told of some snow but the weather channel is not real pacific here. A little snow mixed in with rain. Ok whatever what is new?? Than we got down into the canyon..... Saturday it just dumped on us! Snow is no big deal, it is the black ice we worry about!! More about my getting wildlife photography here in Oregon at my web site..... When I take photographs I take them for me first. I went really public with my photographs a little while ago on this computer, some of you have even been with me through this process. With all the stuff I heard about computers and all.... I just kept them off the computer. Now with over 92,000 visitors to my site I think I have hopefully given people a little entertainment sharing our life over here in Oregon? I am enjoying showing and selling my photography to the world on the computer! I am even doing photograph calls n....

We were up in the Malheur National Forest last Saturday and got a couple photographs. Guy had planned to go to a spot for photographs where we would hike around. This was the first trip in our dodge ram we just picked up. Our chevy suburban is no longer and we like the Ram truck, but we really loved the suburban and of course it was paid off. WOW did things not go as planned!

Sunday was the day we decided to go outside. Saturday it was storming and just to nasty!! We got to see the neatest show we have yet to top down at the canyon.

I got hooked on digital photography when our owner gave us his digital camera to use after he saw that we could add actual food pictures to our menus and promotional materials instead of just cliparts. The first round of pictures was really simple, real novice looking. The knob on the camera had this letters that was strange to me. Slowly but surely I learned how to use this different settings. Now my pictures look better, not great but better. Presently I have two cameras one a point and shoot type. And another slightly professional, a Sony. Our company has since changed the company camera which is in my care now. Its a Canon EOS 1000D and its great especially for closeup shots. I still do food shots for our menus and promotional materials but now I always bring my cameras around everywhere go.

The Pacific Tree Frog is one of the most common frogs in Oregon. It is said if you hear frogs in the movies, you may just be hearing the Pacific Tree Frog! They can get VERY loud!!

One thing to be assured of here in Oregon is, never know what you are going to see here! I noticed this blue butterfly fluttering around, then oh my I noticed a whole lot more! I paid attention for these photographs to just one. The site of so much blue was quite pretty. Sure the wild Lupine flowers are blue, but these were flying!! So, what is a person who is armed with their trusty camera to do? Take photographs of course!

When I seen that someone I new had some old trucks outside his shop, I just had to ask him for photographs. Than he came to ask if I would photo for him his 1925 Chevy, heck ya!!

Store I just opened. Ya so I am a sell out.....

Notes: Exposure - The light meter is different from the exposure setting. - Keeping your light meter at "0" doesn't necessarily mean it's the perfect setting. Just don't stray too far from the "0". AdJust to your liking. - Positive numbers on your exposure setting will make your photos brighter. - Negative numbers make your photos darker. Aperture - Small numbers (like f/1.4) have larger openings, which let in more light. - Big numbers (like f/16) have smaller openings, which let in less light. Shutter Speed - Seeing 100, 250, 320, etc. on your viewfinder means "1/(number seen)", like "1/100". - Try not to use 1/60 or less when handheld, that's when you use a tripod or look for something steady. - Using longer exposure (slow shutter speed) will let in more light. - Using shorter exposure (fast shutter speed) will let in less light. ISO - ISO is the sensitivity of your camera to light - Lower numbers are less sensitive to light, which give smoother photos. - Higher numbers are very sensitive to light, which give very grainy and noisy photos.

I admit it, I take too many photos. I know it, and I have too many images to deal with, and unless I am getting paid to finish them and send them out to a client, they may never get processed.
