Do you see them? The canyon with the water in it creates this weather for us. Some days only in the morning, some days it can last all day, and sometimes it can last longer then that! This is what we saw as we were heading to better weather yesterday, which was Christmas morning 2010. Mule deer in the early morning fog.

Mt. Hood In The Early Morning Light.

First thing we seen last Saturday is this herd of Elk. They were pretty close to our little town! They were laying down in this farmers field. But when they noticed someone giving them attention they started getting up and getting nervous. The morning was very nasty weather wise. Snow was falling, it was foggy and I really did not want to see the elk running in this weather. These all look like bulls. These elk we have here are very..... shy? Paranoid? In the field they had nothing to hide behind.

Friday I was not around for Guy announced Thursday night we are heading out in the morning and to make sure battery is charging and my camera bag is ready to go!! The truck, the dogs everything was ready to go as I was still wiping sleep out of my eyes early Friday morning!

Lily In The Morning.

Nature is a wondrous thing. At times doing things that frankly, amazes us! The selenelion effect made these photographs come out rather neat looking, only with some cropping done. This selenelion effect is when both the eclipsed moon and the sun can be seen at the same time. Of course I get what I am given and these photographs are what I got. A well known fact is, I dont do night time photography. It was so cold Saturday morning here in Jefferson County Oregon!! Without much more talking, here are my photographs from the Lunar Eclipse here in Central Oregon.

As morning was breaking high up in the Ochoco Mountains we came across this herd of Antelope. Of course I always look for the buck. Not just because of being charged at rutting time, but it is just good sense too.

Razaq Vance is the master of shooting yellow light of morning and evenings. He apt in the art and produce some stunning imagery of this era.Yellow is the color of gold which is the most precious metal on earth. It is also the color of sun and popular flowers like daffodils.

One morning heading out we saw a hot air balloon in the sky. Than we seen another, and another!! Before we new it we went around the block to see them all. Of course our blocks can be rather long, and walking is not a great idea. It might take all day long! But here is one of the hot air balloons.

Been pretty busy the last couple of days, today has been no different. Guy said lets go! So I was ready in no time and out the door we went. We went to watch the sunrise this morning. I caught Guy leaning on one of the fence posts.

Our adventures start out usually early in the morning. I woke up late, yes I admit! I got up gosh at 4 am or something. Guy was already up and drinking his coffee. I only have to get myself and my camera ready. Guy has the truck, the dogs, our lunch and extra truck supplies to get ready. We left here a little before 5am, before the sun came up and hopefully before to much wildlife movement gets started.......

To capture such beautiful photographs, Autumn Sasala only uses his iphone and a macro camera Squidcam. Sunrise In Central Oregon. We usually head into Madras, than head to Prineville Oregon to go up in the Ochoco Mountains. This is what the sky looked like heading to Prineville Oregon Saturday.
