The 3rd edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale that follows the thematic 'Forming in the pupil of an eye' seems to weave several threads of sensitivity by the 97 participating artists. IAnD picks three such intense musings to discover the creative processes behind their works…

As we were down in the canyon (Lake Billy Chinook), I just happened to look up and found these mule deer spying on us. When visitors leave the wildlife do not hide like they do when the visitors are here. They are more apt to show themselves. They were funny for they were using the canyon rocks to hide behind! I captured the two who came out from the rocks to show themselves.

First thing we seen last Saturday is this herd of Elk. They were pretty close to our little town! They were laying down in this farmers field. But when they noticed someone giving them attention they started getting up and getting nervous. The morning was very nasty weather wise. Snow was falling, it was foggy and I really did not want to see the elk running in this weather. These all look like bulls. These elk we have here are very..... shy? Paranoid? In the field they had nothing to hide behind.

The Dells are, in a way, the Midwestern version of Niagara Falls: somewhere so overrun with tourist kitsch and unpleasant marketing types running the tourist traps, that one is almost embarassed to admit that the area, itself, is very nice to look at, once one leaves some of the unpleasantness behind. I went looking for images of Witches' Gulch that people had uploaded. This is one I found. I'll do some more looking later.

The mule deer have their own personalities. This is a given to us who watch them, photograph them. Here are some shots I got of the Mule Deer hiding behind the juniper trees and brush or peeking out of where they can to watch me watching them! One doe is so afraid she is still eating HAHA! The bucks are now loosing their antlers as seen in another one of my posts. I do worry for the young, it is winter time. Not a good time for young to be born or for the older young who are not experienced with getting away from hungry predators. But the way the world works when the older, experienced bucks are the ones the hunters want, leaving their duties to the younger inexperienced bucks.

Japanese photographer Masashi Wakui captures Tokyo's streets at night, and especially neon lights and the atmosphere that comes from the little back alleys behind the stores. He accentuates the lights and the haze to add a bit of depth to his pictures similar to Blade Runner by Ridley Scott's aesthetic. More pictures in the gallery below and on his Flickr.

French artist Travis Durden, previously featured on Fubiz, uses 3D modelling techniques to incrust Batman and his vehicles in pictures from others photographer as Jason Koxvold, Kristina Kostadinova, Matt Lambros, Ed Freeman, Alicia Rius et Antti Viitala, all behind pictures in abandoned places and monuments. Compositions that transport us in a desolation with a desperate hero.

I really focus on enjoying what I do so my thinking is only to accept work I really am enthusiastic about, with clients who respect my creative vision, that's what they hire me for, not just to press the shutter. I've worked with clients who literally were standing behind me explaining to me how to take photos. Never again! Big brands such as Adidas or Amazon are usually the ones who employ me but I also love to work for exciting start-ups.
