Gray Jay Bicolored Ochoco Mountains Oregon - 0 views

  •
While deep in the Ochoco Mountains we ran across a nice flowing creek. I love running water and just had to stop!! Upon inspection of where we were it was obvious this spot had been used as a hunting camp. The legs of the elk and the "meat hangers" (we laughed for I am sure there is a real name for them ha) , that were nailed to the trees. The feathers laying around looked as if maybe a turkey was in the mix with the elk? Even a spot for a bathroom. Gave us this impression. Guy wondered further down the creek then I for things happen to catch my eye. So I was wondering around on my own taking shots of the ice that was found where the water was not running fast. As I was doing my thing I heard some racket that was obviously coming from the trees and from birds. As you can imagine wild creatures do not just sit still so one can snap off photographs, so off I went to get this loud birds photographs! There were at least 3 of these birds, however non of them were all that impressed with any of us there! From the information I gathered of this bird, these must of been truly wild Gray Jays!! Not yet ingrained with human presents. I first thought this was a nutcracker. We have many of those around so it seams. Same family as these Gray Jays, but so is the steller's jay, blue jay and the western scrub jay , the crows, the ravens there is a lot of species in the Corvidae family!! From the sub species of the Gray Jay and getting these photographs in the Ochoco mountains this determined these to be the Bicolored Gray Jay. One thing all these birds have in common is, they are very smart!! Smarter then humans give them credit for! Over the Cascade Mountains there is yet another sub species of the Gray Jay over there with different needs and habits. That Gray Jay does not like snow, the ones here better like snow! Like all birds of the Corvidae family, they are pretty much scavengers, however it appears all the species of the Gray Jay have different food s

Tips Avoid Blowout Caused by Flash Camera | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
Tips Avoid Blowout Caused by Flash - Do you are ever run into trouble when using the built-in Flash on the camera? Are the photos you produce 'Blow-out' and you feel a flash was too strong so that the object become over? What to do when it finds a situation like this? When we try to visit in the image share sites like flickr, there are many who experience this condition (blow-out), and indeed most of the photos were produced using a pocket camera or a Point and Shoot. Why pocket camera? Built-in Flash because pocket camera features minimal controls, either on flash power or flash light power and setting the direction of light. Unlike the External Flash on DSLR camera that can be directed to our liking. Here are some tips on using the built-in flash on the camera point and shoot or DSLR you can do: Think of Built-in Flash as your secondary light source Always position the flash as a secondary light source, surely there must when shooting ambient light is not it? Ambient light is the light that is in shooting place, such as light bulbs, solar light and others. Ambient light is important for your picture, remember that light is natural light in the location shooting. Use the flash as a light source support and never used as a primary light source, and if you are use the flash as the main light source you will see the light in the photo is artificial (artificial light). Try as much as possible to keep the ambient light or ambient light. Back one or two steps The simplest way to reduce the impact of the light coming from the flash, is to increase the distance between you and the subject of the photo. In previous articles, we have always been advised to approach the object image, but in this case if you are too close to the object will be too bright because it was hit by a flash of light coming from the camera. Many of the photographs 'blow-out' because of the distance the photographer is too close to the object image.

How To Hold a Camera When Photographing | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
How To Hold a Camera When Photographing - How to hold a digital camera when taking pictures is one of the key factors that determine the level of sharpness and focus of the photos you took. The main reason why is the creation of photo blur due to camera shake. Usually caused by camera shake and how to hold your body position is wrong when the shutter button is pressed. Camera Shake or camera shake often occurs when shooting in low-light conditions (low light) as well as the use of slow shutter speed.

The position holds true digital camera can help you to minimize or even prevent camera shake, and is certain to result in a sharp blur-free photo. Know and understand how to hold the camera the correct position is considered very important to produce good photographs.

Methods of Holding Position Digital Camera
How my friend holding the camera or photographic device usage is actually just individual taste problems, and there is no right and wrong, but to build a habit and determine the proper attitude when shooting from the beginning will give many advantages to you in the future. At least my friend will be seen as a professional photographer when shooting, at least it's a good reason to try it? Here are some tips you can do buddy:

Hold the camera using the right hand to grasp the handle right side of the camera, and place your thumb on the back of the camera, three fingers pointing forward and curled index finger rests on the shutter button. Digital cameras are now mostly well-grip shape that automatically leads Three position where your fingers should be. Hold your digital camera with a strong but not too strong if you do not want to result in blurry photos. The position of the left hand can vary depending on the type of digital camera you have, if my friend using a DSLR camera, then your left hand should be under the weight of the camera with the goal of cameras using the palm of the hand. Bald Eagle Fishing, Oregon - 0 views

  •
We watched the Bald Eagles fishing for a while. I understand I need a better tele lens than what I have now for such things as this. It will come. I started out from the truck on the road. Looking down into the canyon I was not sure if I wanted to climb down but found myself doing it!! Guy parked the truck basically just on the dirt road. Over to the side the best he could just so if people were around they could get by it. No where to park! Soon Guy and the dogs were coming too, the dogs found me first of course! We all made our way down into the canyon to the water. Not only were the Bald Eagles fishing, other birds were as well. Their were two adult Bald Eagles and a younger Bald Eagle. The younger one kept trying to take the older ones fish! Big fights ensued. If I did have have this stupid tree in my way!! So we moved locations so the tree would no longer be in my way, though we were in full sight of the eagles as well. So the young Bald Eagle took off out of sight. It did appear that the Bald Eagles were curious as to what we were, and why we were there! They checked us out several times. Than the ducks, and other wildlife left. All three Bald Eagles took off to the other side of the canyon and that was that. To my understanding that side of the canyon belongs to the Warm Spring Indian Reservation, though I could be wrong. The older adults perched in the same tree, while the younger one went into a tree where he could hide from our view. We seen some of his white, but he was not to secure as the older ones were about us seeing him! It was pretty obvious that this younger Bald Eagle was not comfortable around people, or what the eagle did not understand. Here are several photographs of one of the older Bald Eagles fishing.

Winter Life, Fighting Over Prey - 0 views

  •
I pay a lot of attention to Ravens. Some of my best photographs came to be because of the ravens. Ravens are really just a big crow. They are a very intelligent bird, which I guess some can argue with. They work as a team. As a family unit and are very bold creature. More than one raven is called "An unkindness of ravens", I can see why because wow can they drive off the biggest of creatures! There are ten species of the Raven with two more that are said to be extinct. The Magpie appears to be tolerated by the Raven, though they too are finally ran off by the bigger Raven. The Magpie we have here are very smart birds, though I really do not "listen" to them as I do the Raven. After seeing the all the Ravens in a small clearing it did not take Guy long to stop the truck and off I went into the brush. Guy seen a little of what the Ravens were doing, this was running off the eagles. There were two eagles. One was a big Golden Eagle, the other was a young smaller Bald Eagle. Many of these two species of eagles are showing up together these days. I have not noticed this in years past, but this year WOW has this been obvious! The Golden Eagle standing on the prey is the first thing we noticed after the Ravens. The prey I could not identify. Did I want to identify it, not really!! It was white and it appeared to have died some time ago. One thing people do not understand about Eagles, the Golden Eagle and the Bald Eagle is, they will take a meal whether they themselves hunted it down, or if it died by some other means. Eagles will do their best to steal prey as well. The species of eagles are opportunists. They can be scavengers. The Raven were doing the best they could to run off the Eagles, but the Golden Eagle was having no part of being ran off by Ravens! The young Bald Eagle was trying to grab some of the meal when I was getting close, but took off up into a tree to watch. These are the photographs of this event.

Limit the Auto ISO Setting | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
The existence of a digital sensor allows a photographer to change the ISO sensitivity represents the level sensor to light when shooting pictures. This is an advantage for those who shoot in lighting conditions change often. Bright light, dim would not be a problem, you can quickly adjust the ISO before shooting and see the results, and you certainly do not have to worry about the blur. Take advantage of the features of the camera ISO you about this. In the era of digital photography, you can forget about ISO settings and concentrate on what you take. But you do not get too excited and dismissive. AUTO ISO has its own limit. The main limiting factor is the tendency of the auto ISO camera to use ISO without consideration of the consequences they produce. As we all know, that the camera could not consider about NOISE generated, but not for lovers of our pictures, and if you care about the quality of the art that you make, chances are you're also not too happy with the NOISE in your photographs. A camera may be able to set the ISO up to 3200, but if you really want to use it every time photographing? For those who say 'No' they always consider the ISO before shooting, until the camera manufacturers provide feedback to the ISO limits are used. No one ever knew who first had the idea of ??limits on the use of ISO, but initially the cameras feature Nikon's ISO maximum use, and in the end some camera manufacturers follow them. Who first sparked this idea is not important, because now almost all camera manufacturers have added features automatic ISO usage limits to the cameras now and in the future. Many novice photographers are not aware of this feature, and they should be able to take advantage and begin to improve photo quality by not allowing too high ISO setting.

Tutorial Choosing ISO Settings | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
Tutorial Choosing ISO Settings - When learning about the concept of 'Exposure Triangle', maybe you have to ask 'What is the value of ISO should I use for best results? "Changing the ISO setting on your camera has an impact on the level of sensitivity of the image sensor in the camera to the LIGHT. The lower ISO number that you choose the level of light sensitivity will also be lower, and vice versa the higher the ISO number then the camera's image sensor will be more sensitive. The setting above is useful when you are shooting in conditions or different lighting situations, usually when the lighting conditions are low and you are not allowed to use a flash (in this case you have to raise the ISO). The impact is most noticeable when raising the ISO setting is likely GRAIN or NOISE the results of the photo will also increase. you may not be aware of GRAIN in the photo when I saw on the camera LCD, but when you want to review again in the Personal Computer the NOISE or GRAIN will be clearly visible. Above is an example where when photographing all using the same camera settings except for ISO settings (100 and 1600). The basic rule is to use the ISO, you must select the ISO as low as possible to get the photo smooth and free of GRAIN.

Choosing DSLR Lens Guide | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

Choosing DSLR Lens Guide - In the last article we talked about the type of DSLR lenses on the market, and it could be the beginning to answer the following question: Which lens should I buy? Tutorialphotography.com In this article will discuss some of the factors for consideration when going choosing a DSLR lens. Each of the features below will be different in each lens. Lens Speed The speed of the lens could be the subject of when you are looking for a new lens. Speed ??or how fast a lens is actually closely related to the maximum aperture is owned by the lens. Aperture is the size of the lens aperture when the shutter button is pressed (or how much light enters the camera). Aperture is denoted by F (f-stop). you can read our article about the aperture at: Understanding Aperture in Photography. The smaller the number the bigger the hole, and there will be more light coming in at one time. This means the shutter speed becomes faster, the reason why the term 'fast' or 'faster' The magnitude of the maximum lens aperture can help you in several ways, among others:

How to Choose Ideal Setting Shutter Speed | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
What is Shutter Speed? The easiest way to describe the Shutter Speed ??is the time span or the length of the camera shutter is open. In the era of film photography, shutter can be interpreted as a time frame scenes expose the film or scene being photographed. In the era of digital photography, shutter speed means how long the camera image sensor 'Seeing' a scene or scene being photographed. Different Shutter Speed Intended use of shutter speed can be varied for different purposes. Shutter Speed ??is measured in seconds (per second), the speed represented by ordinary fractions such as 1/1000 or 1/50. You can see clearly, that the larger the denominator, the greater the speed. average speed is ideal when shooting normally 1/60, and photographed using a lower speed than that without the help of a tripod or brace will be difficult because most likely will result in a blurry photo. Setting the Shutter Speed ??common in digital cameras usually are 1/500, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, 1/8, and so on, even many cameras give you the option of measurement shutter speed in seconds of full (not fragments) as 1 second, 2 seconds, 10 seconds, and so on. Second unit will be very useful in the field of low-light photography or when you are trying to capture the motion of the object. Many photographers use a shutter speed slower than 1/60 sec and that means all of their photos to be blurry. For the best results in the use of shutter speed slower then my friend should use a tripod so that the camera can be stable and there will be no shock at the time of shooting.

Tutorial Slow Sync Flash in Photography | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
One of the functions or features that will be fun in exploration is Slow Sync Flash. certainly not only fun but will produce more exciting. Options At Low Light Photography When shooting subjects in low-light conditions or low light, generally you will have two options, namely photographed using a flash or use a slow shutter speed. 1. Flash When you use the camera on AUTO mode, it will automatically select the shutter speed relatively quickly when photographing subjects with low-light conditions (low light) by using the flash. This means that your subject will have good lighting, and if the subject is moving then the movement will 'freeze' and razor-sharp results. The problem is likely you will be the subject of the photo is too bright and the background will look very dark, given at the time of the shooting there was not enough time for the camera to take a light around him. 2. Slow Shutter Speed Another option is to turn off the flash and then photographed using a longer shutter speed to let in more ambient light into the image sensor and produces well-exposed photo. This could be an effective technique, if you are photographing landscape in which all the elements in the photograph is silent, but if the subject of your photo portrait moves the course will produce a blur, of course you do not want it right? Both options above are techniques you can do, but of course they also have drawbacks. The other option is try to consider using Slow Sync Flash

Before Buying a Digital Camera - 0 views

With so many digital cameras for sale, choosing the best digital camera can be quite a daunting challenge and many people will discover that they didn't make the right decision, but only after buying the wrong camera. Digital camera consumers typically fall under one of 3 primary groups: beginners, enthusiasts and also professional people, and understanding the place you match will assist you to determine exactly what characteristics will be crucial, as well as which kind of digital camera makes 'sense' for your situation. High ISO - grain is not always bad | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
Actually the use of the ISO is not a 'rule' actual of photography, but mostly it was a lot of discussion on of photography tutorial, that we avoid as much as possible NOISE and GRAIN on the results of our photos using ISO setting as low as possible in any lighting conditions when shooting. Use a low ISO will give the images a smooth, clean and sharp as the lighting conditions when shooting course. There are certain times in which to raise the maximum ISO setting could create some interesting photo effects, but on the other side of many of the training course on us as much as possible to use a low ISO. GRAIN or photo noise can give the feel of the sand and crude quality, and for most people it can present a different mood to the picture. It could be said that in the current era of digital of photography will be more difficult due to the efforts of digital camera vendors and try to reduce the NOISE GRAIN better when using high ISO settings. This is easily done when the film camera era, which is the film with a high ISO will result in shades of sand or Grain naturally beautiful. Another way to get GRAIN on the photographs captured using a low ISO setting, is to use software like GIMP or Photoshop, but somehow we'll be more fun to get the effect GRAIN when shooting with the camera.

Definition Rule of Thirds in Photography | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

Definition Rule of Thirds in Photography - One of the main factors that distinguish between interesting photos with a normal photo is COMPOSITION or how the object / subject is placed in a photograph. Using the Rule of Thirds is not a fixed rule, but only a simple composition rules or guidelines to improve the composition of your photos. The concept of the Rule of Thirds contrary to the habits that occur in beginner photographer with their photos always put the subject right in the middle of the frame or often called dead center. Rule of Thirds guide the eye to the point of audience photos Point of Interest or Focal Point in nature, and not in this part of the middle frame. This rule identifies the Point of Interest (POI) and suggest that if you put the Point of Interest in the subject of the right point and collaborate with images tracing how the eye naturally, then you most likely have created an image results with good balance and interesting for the audience photo.

Some digital cameras still provide control of the flash and Red Eye Reduction in the AUTO setting. Referring to the statement, the following are some modes the automatic camera settings on the camera can give instructions about the photo you want.

When The Right Time Using P, S, A, M Mode on The Camera? | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

  •
When The Right Time Using P, S, A, M Mode on The Camera? - Aperture Priority (A) is effectively used for photographing a stationary object, for example, landscape (except slow speed), interior or still life. In A mode, you can set the aperture to get the depth of field as desired, and the camera will adjust its speed. Speed ??Priority (S) is very effective for photographing moving subjects such as waterfalls, sports and panning. With this mode, you can specify the shutter speed to create the effect of moving as desired, and the camera will determine the appropriate aperture for you. Manual (M). Although the cameras already have very sophisticated metering systems, but can also occur sometimes measurement errors, especially in difficult conditions such as event staging. To get the 'fix' a photographer who has had flight hours will determine the ISO speed, shutter speed and aperture for the shooting was his. Manual mode is also often used for studio shooting where lighting is measured by the flash meter. Program (P) mode is most often used to create photo coverage, where the priorities are the moments that move very fast and will not be repeated. In this mode, the camera is in full control, and you only have to shoot it.

Pocket Camera Tips For Beginner Photographer | Tutorial Photography - 0 views

Pocket Camera Tips For Beginner Photographer - A few days ago, many are asking, what if I only have a pocket camera and do not have the ability to change the shutter speed and aperture manually, but these elements is crucial in the world of photography? We think that's a very good question. you basically have two choices in dealing with cases like this. Upgrade Your Camera! This option can be the most ideal option if you want full control over the camera Aperture and Shutter Speed??, though you can do photography tips below but still you can not accurately perform for the camera settings. you have the two best options if you decide to upgrade the camera, the first is to buy a DSLR camera, or it can be a pocket camera that has manual settings or often called the prosumer. DSLR camera is probably the right choice if you want to have more control over and is not limited to just Aperture and Shutter speed. you will have the flexibility to choose a variety of lenses, shoot with manual mode and control of settings such as ISO, White Balance, Exposure, and others. Another alternative is to buy a pocket camera that features photography. Right now a lot of compact cameras on the market are equipped with manual control or semi-automatic. The first option is of course to make you spend more to upgrade the camera, if you still do not have more budget, try to follow techniques while photography is in the second option.
