  This looks like an approachable source. I did a little searching on this site and thinkquest in general and learned that these are educational pages made by students for students. The sites available have won a competition. The pharoah page you used was done by or for an elementary school in 2000. Perhaps this why it is written in a voice that explains the word eternity for the reader.
