A wonderful monastery located in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. Holds retreats for people of all ethnicities and educates many local boys to be monks as well. I participated in an 8 day retreat there and learned a lot about the tenants of Buddhism from a English-speaking tibetan monk.

Before going off to immerse oneself in a culture that values meditation and reflection, it is most helpful to understand how to meditate and reflect. This resource will be very useful to me, especially when we do the 10 day retreat at a Buddhist monastery.
