This is the website for a company which make, wheels, clay, glaze, kilns, and just about anything you need to make pottery on the wheel and off the wheel. My good friend's family actually owns and runs the company, and I was lucky enough to get a tour of the place. Without Amaco I wouldn't be able to make my art, so i owe them a lot of thanks!

This was a really helpful website. It talked about the color wheel, primary, secondary and tertiary colors, warm/cool colors, neutrals monochromatic, analogous, complementary and split complementary colors, triadic and applying color theory. The site explained each topic. They were each short but still gave the needed information.

This article talks about how a wheel lock firing mechanism works and tells you the name of each part of the mechanism.

A famous potter named Simon Leach shows us some excellent techniques for throwing potter in the wheel.

This was a very useful video for me at the beginning of my independent study, it shows in detail how to center and throw a pot, which can be very difficult and is what I spend most of my time doing. The woman in the video also gives good instruction and help me a great deal.

This video was very helpful, it talked in very good detail and step by step from start to finish.

Sweet Tea Pottery is a blog written by a ceramic teacher and artist who shows her work, and does a few tutorials too. This particular tutorial is of how to make a ceramic bowl on the wheel, a more advanced skill then just making a mug or pot. The tutorial uses pictures and text to help users with their craft.

this site was very helpful to me, it helped me figure out a few designs that i wanted to use for my tiny house and had a lot of different set ups that could be helpful.

This video helped me to trim my bowl with a different way than how Mr. Babbitt showed me. Altho I prefer Mr. Babbitt's way which is with a smaller tool because it allows you to have more control over how you trim.
