This site is great for a crafty person. Not only does it have hundreds of crafts to try, each craft tells you where you can get all the items and how much they cost! I will be using this site in the future.

This part of the College Board website is a place where many tips are included for writing the college essay. There are also student point of views and their personal experiences writing the college essay. This is a really helpful tool because it includes videos, tips, and even personal stories. The Director of Admission at Yale speaks about some tips for self-analysis in the essay, which was very insightful.

Sweet Tea Pottery is a blog written by a ceramic teacher and artist who shows her work, and does a few tutorials too. This particular tutorial is of how to make a ceramic bowl on the wheel, a more advanced skill then just making a mug or pot. The tutorial uses pictures and text to help users with their craft.

This video I found showed a few different way to decorate cupcakes. Kayla and I are baking cupcakes in a few days for a craft fair and need to learn how to use the piping bags, I thought it would be a great idea to watch a video. It also showed different ways to display cupcakes which Kayla and I have been trying to figure out. I plan to show Kayla this video so she can have a better understanding as well. Pinterest is a visual discovery tool that people use to collect ideas for their different hobbies and projects. People post collections on "boards" of visual bookmarks (Pins). These collections are used to do things like plan trips and projects, organize events or save articles and recipes. This particular board is full of American and European woodblock prints made between the years of 1880-1935. There is a subfocus of trees and landscape.

Selvedge magazine is based in the UK and it's issues are about interior design, fashion, art, craft, travel and shopping. This June they are offering a week long course on block printing. It's a workshop with two well known textile artists.

This website explained how to figure out how much to price baked goods. It simplified it to show how the math figured the cost. It's a bit confusing to follow but once you read it a couple times it makes since. Kayla and I will most likely be using this method to price our items for the craft fair.
