Have you ever had enough to create shortcuts again and again on your desktop, type and retype the login URIs again and again ? Just put them to the trash and install OpenSim Launcher ! Now you can choose the grid you want to connect to among dozens of others, and choose the viewer you want to use among Second Life viewer and RealXtend ! Never retype your avatar name again ! It reminds them for you. You may have different avatar names on each grid. Just select the grid and the corresponding avatar name shows up ! Your passwords are never stored anywhere for more security. You can also clear your stored identities.

Wonder why those sculpties look distorted and blobby? Here is a simple fix! Bring up the 'Advanced' menu with Ctrl-Alt-D, or Opt-Ctrl-D on a Mac. A new tool bar item "Advanced" will appear at the top. Select the menu for 'debug settings' near the bottom. In the blank space, copy and paste the word: RenderVolumeLODFactor, and set the value to 4 to get all sculpts looking great.

However, the online virtual world platform does feature protocol hooks that allow administrators to install currency modules. After installing the currency module, users can enjoy a greater level of social realism when playing OpenSimulator by buying and selling items with online currency. You will need the WAMP server suite already installed and functional, as changes will be made to the Apache HTTP server and MySQL database service located within the suite.
