  • starke organisatorische Hindernisse in den etablierten Bildungseinrichtungen überwunden werden müssten. Daher gehen die Autoren davon aus, dass sich die Situation eher langsam verändern wird.
  • Diese Situation könne allerdings durch offene Bildungsressourcen nur bedingt beeinflusst werden. „OER können zwar eine treibende Kraft hin zu einer derartigen Veränderung sein, aber nur wenn Lehr-Richtlinien und Organisationsstrukturen Lehrer und Lernende befähigen, diese Ressourcen sinnvoll zu nutzen“, so die Studie.

  • Nicht-repräsentative Statistiken zur Nutzung von Yahoo Groups zeigen, dass ein Prozent der Nutzer eine eigene Gruppe anlegt und zehn Prozent sich aktiv beteiligen, indem sie eine Diskussion beginnen.
  • Daher müssten Bildungs-Communities dafür sorgen, dass neue Interessenten nicht ausgesperrt werden, nur weil sie nicht von Beginn an etwas beitragen, und aktiv Informationen streuen, um die Interessengruppe zu vergrößern, etwa durch RSS-Feeds oder Newsletter.

  • Zudem wir das Buch nicht nur als Print verkauft, sondern auch (kostenlos) als PDF und sogar als .docx angeboten (anders als seinerzeit des #Edchat-Buch des Cornelsen-Verlags). Somit ist das Buch selbst, zumal es unter cc-by-sa veröffentlicht ist, ein hervorragendes Beispiel für ein gelungenes OER-Projekt. Ich habe das Buch dennoch gekauft, weil mir die Unterstützung eines solchen Projektes wichtig ist.
