They are very brief definitions, but allow for a gateway of further research by identifying authors of the theories. It seems that the ongoing and frequent assessment process is critical and I believe actually a bit easier in the online environment. The ease comes from the direct nature of the interaction between instructor-student and student-student interactions. Sometimes in a crowded F2F classroom, this can be more challenging.
