当Lifestream以Profile的方式在个人Presentation方面，是有相当价值的，但是当Lifestream以Newsfeed的方式出现在社交网站首页的时候，信息的爆炸与冷落畸形的融合在了一起。爆炸是因为RSS导入，导致大量信息出现在newsfeed上；冷落是因为，这样的信息，因为缺少针对性和“诚意”，很难引起大家的讨论。（缺少诚意：用户不会根据相关族群对RSS的导入信息进行一定的筛选，庞杂的信息让好友失去查看的意愿。）

事实上，我不得不推翻2年多前的判断，像Friendfeed这样的类似于Profile，是无法成为个人社交的入口的。这样的产品，只能是个人社交入口中Profile的一部分，并且需要对这个Profile的信息展示进行进一步加工。

1 以文字、视频、照片等内容形式进行分类；这样处理比较简单，并且在内容展示方面会更加有调理；

friendfeed的这个聊天室，有了比较多的改进，有点海内可以回复的minilog的样子，也有点bbs的样子。其最大的特点是： 1 可以插入超链接：这样很方便用户查看提及的资料； 2 主题回复：可以回复某句话，形成主题式的聊天 似乎Friendfeed还是希望在自己本身的基础上去构建新的社区，而不是之前我说过的向左走向右走。这的确是最合乎常理的路线，但是就Friendfeed主产品来说，恐怕很难真正吸引到用户互动。

据我了解，这次事件从爱慕肚滑开“对汶川地震已不感兴趣小组”（5月15日）开始，这是一个意图反思地震后政府行为的小组。从第一批贴可以看到，攻击在爱慕肚滑豆瓣主页和小组展开。我曾进这个小组，转贴了许知远的《灾难、遗忘与不朽》一文，希望提供理性讨论的可能性。但围攻继续，最后以小组被豆瓣以“讨论主题属于豆瓣不允许的内容”解散告终，是第一阶段。

第一、二批贴都是关于第一阶段。

第三、四贴开始，这批自称“马甲帮”的人从“不感兴趣”小组追踪到另一位网友，这里我们称她为DP。我要指出，DP并不是如“马甲帮”说的，是“不感兴趣”的组长，她只是极力捍卫组长的反思立场。

Support Earthquake Relief in China (Sichuan)

On Monday, May 12, at 2.28 p.m. Beijing time (6:28 GMT), a major earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale jolted southwestern China's Sichuan Province. It shook the skyscrapers in downtown Shanghai, hundreds of miles away; the shocks were felt as far away as Thailand and Vietnam. The earthquake has rendered over 5 million homeless and a confirmed death toll of over 40,000, a number that is expected to rise dramatically as rescue teams continue to reach the most affected areas (Source: Associated Press). In cities near the earthquake's epicenter, thousands are buried under the rubble of collapsed buildings. We encourage you to support emergency relief efforts by donating to either of these organizations.

Robert Bringhurst’s book The Elements of Typographic Style is on many a designer’s bookshelf and is considered to be a classic in the field. Indeed the renowned typographer Hermann Zapf proclaims the book to be a must for everybody in the graphic arts, and especially for our new friends entering the field. In order to allay some of the myths surrounding typography on the web, I have structured this website to step through Bringhurst’s working principles, explaining how to accomplish each using techniques available in HTML and CSS. The future is considered with coverage of CSS3, and practicality is ever present with workarounds, alternatives and compromises for less able browsers. At the time of writing, this is a work in progress. I am adding to the site in the order presented in Bringhurst’s book, one principle at a time. You can subscribe to an RSS feed for notification of new additions.

I have great interests in typography subject since studying in graphic design course. It is amazing that by using a certain typefaces with the placement of the types can create incredible visual language even without the using of images. Typography is actually a very professional skills, because it is not just about selecting the right typefaces, but the layout, the size, the grid and many more.

I'm sorry to say that I had previously received an approach from two charities - one via Facebook and the other by email - but hadn't yet made a donation.  However, Jeremiah's Twitter message changed that. Charities, take note...

由于受灾者个体的差异性（年龄、性别、信仰、职业等），我们相信没有哪一种仪式是完全符合总体的需求的，我们也相信有无数种仪式的可能，每一种仪式都有一定的辅助作用。于是，我们不把工作重点放在仪式的设计、举办。而是把重点放在工作思路的传授上，让“用仪式重建心理”的工作思路迅速传播出去，尽早帮助受灾者。
