Educators from around the country share their favorite educational apps.Most of the apps are free. The ones that are not free have the price listed. This website is great because it places the apps into specific groups (bibliography, note taking, storytelling, etc.) This allows you an efficient way to find something specific.

Professional development and networking are vital in any field, and that's especially true for educators. Whether it's coming up with fresh ideas for lesson plans and classroom activities, seeking mentorship and support from veteran educators, or cultivating resources for technology integration or for meeting state standards, teachers need one another's expertise.

The Edublogger is a great blog to help new users of twitter access twitter chats. The blog is very user-friendly and lists a number of educational hashtags and twitter chats to join.

Reviewing only the Best Kids Apps. iPad Video Reviews of Apps For Kids, Educational Apps, iPad Kids Safety for Kids and Parental Controls I chose this resource for chapter 8 because it lists many kid friendly apps. This website is useful when searching for apps for a classroom.

Reviewing only the best apps for kids. I really liked this website because it categorizes apps into educational learning categories such as numbers, animals, and shapes. It makes finding relevant iPad applications easy.

I chose this resource because it talk about six tools that help with teacher-parent communication. Being able to communicate with your students parents is a very important factor and it explains that and how to improve it. It discusses six different apps that are used in different ways and gives alternatives to the one he describes.

Common Sense Education provides a list of various tools that teachers can use to communicate with parents, whether they want to communicate via social media, use remind alerts, or start something like a class website.

We Choose this because it has specific example of how to implement mobile labs into education.

This website includes details about how each individual in the classroom can benefit by using Diigo, and it also includes a video located at the bottom of the page.

Beyond extended student learning, Diigo can be used as a form of professional development. Diigo has several educator groups that are active in sharing and collaborating on bookmarks relevant to education. This group has almost 10,000 members. You can find over 200 other Diigo K-12 education groups here.

This website is great for those teachers newly using Diigo as a technology resource for their classroom. Exploring this website really helped give me the basics and help me brain storm ideas for my classroom.

This was our first pick out of the resources. It's an education website that we used to find quality apps best for our students learning. Instead of it being just a general search engine we could put specifics in place to narrow our search.

This is a GREAT website for teachers of ALL ages. It provides lesson plans (PDF and online versions), interactive games, classroom posters, and numerous other teaching tools for teaching students about Digital Citizenship. It also has these tools for other topics like EdTech and Professional Development.

I chose this article because it breaks down education: from different schools, down to technology integration in reaching more students. It is an interesting read on how "Distributing Learning" could reach more students and put more in school since technology is integrated into our culture so heavily.

Great source for finding the best educational apps for use in the classroom. It breaks them into different grade levels if you want and then provides a short summary of what the app is all about and why it is such a great app to use in the classroom.
