State standards and other teacher tools: Standards Toolbox - 2 views

This site is a wonderful example of a standards connector webpage. It allows you to compile lesson plans and attach the standards along with the concepts you are teaching. It not only has Common Core (which is what most sites have), but it also has the standards for Non-Common Core sites. This is a great resource.

I liked this website because it was simple to use, and I felt like it would be a really useful tool for keeping me organized when I am a teacher! I especially liked that you could keep track of where you are using differentiated learning, and keep track of standards.

While searching for a set of guidelines to follow when creating an education portfolio, I found several that were listed under other universities (mostly out of state). I wondered if OSU had it's own and did a quick search of our school site and found this pdf.

  • Historically, Cherokees occupied lands in several southeastern states. As European settlers arrived, Cherokees traded and intermarried with them. They began to adopt European customs and gradually turned to an agricultural economy, while being pressured to give up traditional home-lands. Between 1721 and 1819, over 90 percent of their lands were ceded to others. By the 1820s, Sequoyah's syllabary brought l
