    webquests were quite popular several years back but the website that hosted them contains so many broken links. you can accomplish the same task with a well-crafted google search engine and a google doc with links & exercises.

    This site especially cool because it helps break the barrier between students and teachers by using a facebook-Like atmosphere. It allows the students to collaborate with one another as well as take quizzes and do other assignments. Edmodo is also a way for teachers to help each other out. This site is D2L meets facebook, very cool!

    A mobile-capable virtual tour of the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum. This website is great to be able to go look at different things around the US or the world. Especially if a school district doesn't have a lot of money or if it isn't realistic to be able to travel to a certain destination. It will useful to use this tool when learning certain topics.

    Since this week is Halloween, we are using this to describe different ways you can incorporate project-based learning into the classroom. This is a background article on the teacher David Hunter and how he based his whole class and projects around "how to duck the undead invasion, secure their supplies, and, eventually, rebuild society." It will encourage teachers to be more creative when coming up with project-based learning ideas and topics.
